Zombie Embroidery

After several months of laziness, I finally got around to finishing Sug's zombie tea towel. This was one of several projects I made for Sug in the CO+K Zombie Swap which was sent out in April, but for some reason I just could not complete this one project until last week. Sug has finally received it so it's time to post a pic! Sorry if it looks wrinkled, but my iron is currently covered in melted felt, so I didn't want to ruin the towel.

I Won the Triple Crown!

I'm starting to think that when it comes to blog giveaways, I'm just about the luckiest girl around! Just this month I've won three of them! Today I found out that I won Hollyrocks' Summer Gardening Giveaway. I will soon be the proud owner of Holly's handmade mushroom garden stakes, and some other gardening goodies. I don't garden, but I am a big fan of Holly's and I'm so stoked that I won! How could you not love these?

I'm planning on putting the gardening gloves that come with these lovely stakes to good use by giving my condo's "yard" a much needed weeding. The stakes will take their place of honor next to my fountain in the "yard."

I was also informed today that my custom made clutch that I won from SewArtsy is going to be shipped tomorrow! I had my choice of fabrics and design. Pics were just posted on SewArtsy's blog and I think that the end result is totally fabulous! I can't wait to receive it!

Finally, I also won the Father's Day Giveaway from RockerByeBaby's blog. I won this perfectly worded Father's Day card from gramkinpaperstudio in addition to 10 "Cut That Shit Out" note cards and 10 Courtesy Cards (which are far from courteous)!

My Etsy Shop Was Featured on BuyZombie.com For A Second Time!

I am so excited! My Etsy shop was featured on Buy Zombie for a second time! My Zombie Cards were featured the first time around. Today one of my zombie inspired rings, the Zombie Cards, and the Break In Case of a Barbie Zombie Attack Necklace were featured! I feel so very honored!

Thanks to Stuart Conover of Buy Zombie for mentioning me again on his rockin' site! I so need to make something Stu-inspired like Maya of Static White's Stitchery did recently. To show her appreciation of Stu, Maya handcrafted a Zombie Batling named Stu. Here's a pic of it! We love you, Stu!

Another Stuffed Bat!

While browsing through free plushie patterns today, I found a bat that I hadn't seen in my previous searches. (I'm sorry, but I can't recall the the source of the pattern, but it's somewhere on the net if that helps). The end result is extremely cute and very purple. I can't decide if I want to keep him for myself . . .

My ATC Swap Cards

I'm almost certain that my swap partner, Schnaasi, is not one of my blog readers. If by some freak occurrence you are reading this now, Schnaasi, do not read or look any further or your surprise will be ruined! Here is my first ever set of ATC cards. There are nine of them so I took the pictures in three groups (and I'm about the worst photographer ever-sorry, I do try). I had so much fun making these that I've already made three more for the next installment of this swap! Enjoy!

Bat Monster

I just completed this Bat Monster for my partner in the upcoming Newcomer/Veteran Swap on Cut Out + Keep. (I'm pretty sure that she's not one of my blog readers). This is the the first project that I've sewn in a long time, so please be nice :)

Insomnia = ATC Overload!

I just joined a new swap on Cut Out + Keep this evening in the midst of my current bout of insomnia. It's an ATC (Artist Trading Cards) swap where the participant sends 9 ATC's to another participant. The send out date is not until the 29th, but I've already completed 6 cards! I'm freakin' addicted! I'm not sure who my partner is going to be yet, so I can't post pictures just in case he or she happens to be a reader of this blog. However, I will give hints about the themes of my 6 cards (robots, zombies, Alice in Wonderland, nursery rhymes, Spring, and office supplies). I used traditional playing cards as the base for my ATC's. I'm so excited because this is an ongoing swap! Since I'm new to this swap I have to create 9 cards, while the veterans of the swap make and send out 5 new cards in addition to 4 of the cards they've already received (unless they don't want to give them up then they create the difference). Check out these awesome cards created by Schnaasi and sent to Dani in the first round!

Check Out Sug's Blog Feature on Moi!

My good buddy, Sugarlishes, has been featuring her fellow crafters from Cut Out + Keep on her blog. Part Four has just been posted and it happens to be about yours truly! Sug took this photo of me and literally "doctored" it as it was taken when I had a cold. I love that I have been given the title "Kiddo: The Sexy Lady of Crafting!" Thanks for the ego boost, Sug! Love Ya!

Summertime Gardening Giveaway at Hollyrocks

Hollyrocks is in my opinion one of the coolest shops on Etsy right now! Her polymer clay creations are absolutely fabulous! Hollyrocks is currently sponsoring a giveaway on her blog. The lucky winner will receive two mushroom garden stakes (handmade by Holly), a pair of strawberry printed gardening gloves, and a pack of daisy seeds. There are multiple ways to enter (e.g. comment, tweet, follow her blog, blog about the giveaway). The giveaway ends at midnight (U.S. central time) on Thursday, June 25th.

Oh Yeah . . . My Birthday was June 10th!

My 31st birthday was on Wednesday and my good pal Sugarlishes sent me this pic of "my birthday cake." I'm not sure where the pic originated, but props to whoever made it!

Father's Day Giveaway

RockerByeBaby is hosting yet another awesome giveaway just in time for Father's Day! The winner will receive this perfectly worded Father's Day card from gramkinpaperstudio in addition to 10 "Cut That Shit Out" note cards and 10 Courtesy Cards (which are far from courteous)! Gramkinpaperstudio has just become a favorite shop of mine! Their cards are so clever and will definitely get your point across in a inappropriate yet satisfying manner.

Spooky Tag

I was tagged by Maya of Static White's Stitchery, so if you are one of the lucky four who I tag please follow the directions below!

Name check and post a link back to whoever "tagged" you. Then answer the questions below and post them on your blog. Then it's your turn to tag at least 4 spooky minded bloggers by leaving a comment on their blog/my space/etc. Remember to include the image and the list of questions!
Here are the questions-

Q: Bat, Wolf or Owl: which are you?
A: Definitely a bat!

Q: Name your fave spooky movie.
A: This is a toughie . . . I guess it would have to be "Planet Terror." Zombies, action, and it's a Rodriguez flick!

Q: When did you last have the chills and why?
A: Today because I'm recovering from a sunburn. I can't recall the last time something scary gave me the chills.

Q: Have you ever seen a ghost?
A: Never seen one, but I am convinced I heard one once when I was 5. It was a woman's voice calling my name, and there was no living being around me at the time.

My Very Own Batling!

Back in April, Static White's Stitchery was giving away a Custom Batling. Unfortunately I was not the lucky winner. Much to my surprise, during her May giveaway, Maya of Static White's Stitchery (being her awesome self) decided to gift me a Batling just because she is that wonderful! I received him yesterday, and I am in love with him! Here's the little guy. I not only need to name him, but need to find the perfect place to display him for all to see! Thanks Maya! You're the best!
