This is a picture of Finn I drew from my favorite cartoon, "Adventure Time." If you haven't seen this cartoon, you should really tune into Cartoon Network and watch!

My New Boing Avatar on dA!!!
I just received my new Boing avatar that I commissioned from Kiki-Myaki! I'm super excited about it as I'm an avatar whore, I adore pixel art, and I'm a big fan of Kiki's work! You can't see it here, but the avatar boings up and down. You should really check out Kiki-Myaki's profile on deviantART. She's fabulous!!!

Happy Birthday to Me!
Today is officially my birthday and I am 32 years old! I don't actually turn 32 until 8:46 a.m. EST, but let's not get technical! I plan on going out to lunch with my friend, Lindy, today, but other than that I don't have big plans. Thank you to all the people who have already wished me happy birthday and have given me awesome gifts. Here are three kickass pieces of artwork made by three of my friends on deviantART in honor of my birthday. Enjoy!
Much love,

Etsy Update
Today Cool + Kitschy Creations sold out of all of it's inventory! I am putting this shop on vacation while I wait and see if I can get a particular artist to collaborate with me on some Scrabble tile pendants.
Also, I also added two new items to House of Plush moments ago. I've learned how to stencil on fabric using freezer paper, so I did a few bags and listed these two tiny tote bags in my shop.
Each small bag is $6.50 plus shipping.
Much love,

Zombie Kiddo
This is a picture I drew tonight of me as a zombie. I drew the picture in pencil and outlined it in Sharpie. Then I scanned it into my computer and used GIMP to color and filter it. I think I make a cute zombie!

Charlie: The Huggable Sloth
This past Friday, I introduced my readers to Charlie: The Huggable Sloth in the post, "I Heart Sloths." Well, I didn't have a name for Charlie then, as I only named him last night. I suppose the name is derived from a LOST character, but I'm not exactly sure why I picked the heroin addicted, bass player from Driveshaft as the eponym for my adorable sloth.
Nothing will probably come of it, but last evening I submitted Charlie's picture to Patch Together as a candidate to be a candidate for PT to make him into a plush toy. I'm supposed to hear back from PT within 3 days.
I'm super excited about my new deviantART avatar, which I commissioned from supperfrogg. I'm a big fan of animated pixel art already, so having Charlie represented in that form thrills me to death! Here is my little pixelated Charlie.

Prezzies for Me!!!
Five days until my birthday, and I seem to be getting little gifts here and there already! I was just notified that I won Ardent Reverie's beanie giveaway! I love wearing hats, especially beanies, and this will be my first handmade one! I got to choose the color and chose grey (olive is pictured below, but it looks close enough to grey for visualization purposes =P). You should visit Ardent Reverie's Etsy shop for more wonderful handcrafted goodies!

Yesterday, I received a package from Threadless in the mail! Inside was this awesome LOST themed T-Shirt titled "Smokebuster." My friend, Stu, had granted my wish for said tee and made my day!

I was also the recipient of a personalized piece of art yesterday. A fellow deviant who I had never been acquainted with before on deviantART asked if he/she (not sure of this person's gender) could draw a picture for me. I was surprised as I hadn't done anything to warrant such kindness. I thankfully accepted the deviant's request. When I saw the picture, I was thrilled! It is the cutest little drawing of me wearing a sloth costume! How neat is that? Thank you ikkaku6 for such a darling representation of me!

I Heart Sloths
Here is a picture of a sloth, based on my plushie design, that I drew today. I first drew him in pencil and then outlined him in Sharpie. Then I scanned the image into my computer and added color with GIMP. The color came out uneven, but I think it makes him look more dimensional. I love him! Once I find my t-shirt making supplies amidst my tubs of craft supplies that have been moved to my new home, I'm putting him on a tee!

Swap Time Again!
I'm in the middle of two really fun swaps right now: Kill Bill and Rockabilly. The Kill Bill swap is a private swap between me and my friend Ale's brother, Omar. I've made a few things for this swap already and I've only known about it since yesterday! I'm posting my creations on dA, but nowhere else as I want Omar to be surprised! Here is a picture that I drew by hand of Beatrix Kiddo. I then scanned it and colored it in GIMP. Omar has already seen it on Facebook, because I posted it as a teaser.
The second swap is Rockabilly themed and is a public swap on Cut Out + Keep. I wasn't going to join, but couldn't resist, so I joined today! Sign ups are open until June 9th, so head on over there if you wish to join!
Well back to crafting I go!

Variety, please . . .
One way to ensure you are unfriended or unfollowed in the age of social networking is by being one dimensional. Status post driven sites, such as Twitter and Facebook, call for variety to keep your friends and followers entertained and reading. If one constantly sticks to a solitary subject, he or she is more than likely going to be overlooked or deleted.
If all your tweets are plugging your wares on Etsy and nothing else, I will unfollow you. Even the official Etsy and Artfire Twitter accounts aren't that boring. They interact with other tweeters (that's what the @ symbol is for tweeps!) If you are constantly spamming, yes it is spamming, me with giveaway tweets or the same fucking hash tag (#) over and over again; you no longer exist to me. If I see the same avatar more than 3 times in a row and they are not attempting to tell a story that can't be told in the 140 character allotment, I go straight for the unfollow button.
It is easier to get rid of an acquaintance on Twitter than a friend on Facebook. I have friends who "Jesus spam" me on Facebook, but I would feel bad to unfriend them over this petty annoyance. If I want to read the Bible, I'll pick it up on my own accord and read it. Quoting the Bible is fine in moderation, but please don't treat your wall like a pulpit. How are your wife and kids? How are things going at work? Those things are just as important as your faith and I'd much rather read about them than hear a sermon 7 times a day! Instead of unfriending these high school buddies, I just skip them when I see their pictures and move on.
Rant over.
