My French Fry Box Is Featured!

I've always been envious of others whose craft projects became the "Featured Project" on Cut Out + Keep or those that made it into the "Top 20 Most Popular Projects." To my utter shock and disbelief, I joined the ranks today! My French Fry Box "How To" is the "Featured Project" today! It has also made it up into the top ten of the "Top 20 Most Popular Projects!" I am so incredibly excited! I never expected that a simple little project I did on another boring Friday or Saturday evening would gain any attention at all. Thank you Cut Out + Keep!

New ATC's for Upcoming Swap

WARNING! If you are participating in either of the following swaps on swap-bot STOP reading unless you don't want a surprise: "July Bizarre & Unique Holiday ATC Swap" and/or "Halloween in July ATC Swap."

First here are the two ATC's I created for the "July Bizarre & Unique Holiday ATC Swap." Our task was to pick two unusual holidays that occur in the month of July and make one ATC for each of two partners. Also included are two extra ATC's (one for each partner). July is also know as the "Unlucky Month for Weddings."

"July 25th: Threading the Needle Day"

"July 23rd: National Hot Dog Day"

"July: Unlucky Month for Weddings"

The final ATC I completed was for the "Halloween in July ATC Swap." Pretty self explanatory. One ATC was made for one partner.

Sugar-Coated Chaos

I love Sugar-Coated Chaos! I'll admit I'm biased because the proprietor of this little Etsy shop is a close friend of mine, but you can't deny her greatness! I sent Christy, better known as Sug or Sugarlishes, a message last week asking her to make me some skellies (a.k.a. skullies). Polymer clay is not a craft I'm fond of, but it's one of Sug's specialties. She finished my order within a day and shipped them out with a quickness. They arrived on Friday, but my lazy arse didn't make it to the mailbox until Saturday. To my surprise, Sug had included a handmade felt skelly keychain with my order. She also included some guitar-shaped confetti in the bag with the skellies. I can totally use the confetti as inclusions in my resin! So instead of getting one goody, I got three!!! I didn't receive the usual gift of Chinese strawberry candy (it's actually cherry flavored, but tastes like strawberries to me). Knowing this candy was one of my favorite things, Sug ordered a case of it for me and had it shipped to my house! I can't say enough good things about Sug! Not only is she a very talented artisan, she is super sweet and funny as hell! Head on over to Sugar-Coated Chaos and show Sug some love! Love ya, Sug!

Happy Birthday Allie!

More Weekend Creative Goodness

I'm definitely addicted to free downloads! This "snail mail" stationery set is courtesy of Creature Comforts. The envelope is not included in the set, so I found a free envelope template. I can't remember which site provided me with this particular template, but Mirkwood Designs has just about every type of template you could hope for! I may have to try folding the Chinese takeout box next.

I listed a new resin ring on Etsy tonight.

The resin was cast in a two part mold. This type of mold enables the utilization of multiple types of deco (e.g. glitter, beads, sequins). I'm currently running low on resin supplies, but have no money to feed my addiction. There are so many techniques that I want to try. I'm dying for more kawaii stickers, especially ones depicting fairy tales! I also want to try using cupcake sprinkles instead of glitter and beads. Feel free to sneak some funds into my PayPal account! My e-mail address is listed in my profile!

Folding French Fry Boxes On A Friday Night

Yes, that's right! I spent part of my Friday evening learning how to make french fry boxes. It was actually very cathartic! My anxiety levels have been through the roof lately, and this little craft project actually calmed my nerves! Maybe it's a sign that I need to go put in an application at McDonald's or Burger King tomorrow. These little boxes would be the cutest party favor holders. If you would like to de-stress via the ancient art of french fry box folding just go HERE and download the free template.
